2. Whenever possible try and stick to a schedule. This can be really tricky at first, but especially if you are working you’ll need to get into a good routine. This will help with continuing your supply.
3. Stay organized. This means keeping up on having clean bottles/bags, cleaning parts, and having everything packed the night before work or trips.
4. Eat well and stay hydrated. You can’t make milk if you don’t have fuel! This means planning meals for you, too. Keep a water bottle with you and drink all day.
5. Surround yourself with supportive people. This will really help with all of the other steps! If you have supportive people on your side it’s all the more easier to keep up the schedule and effort, and maybe they will even make you dinner.
Pumping can be a great, convenient option for lots of moms (and dads!). If you keep these tips in mind, you’ll be set up for success in whatever your situation and regardless of your goals. Just remember, your best is definitely good enough and your baby appreciates it!
